Who Am I?

Hi! I'm Victoria-Monique, a Body Whisperer and Personal Mind Trainer.

My journey has been one of deep listening—to bodies, to energy, and to the unspoken stories we all carry. Over time, I discovered my unique gift for helping others reconnect to with their bodies, fall in love with themselves, and create lasting transformation from the inside out.

Let me share how I developed this ability to "listen to" and "speak with" the body. And by the way, You can do it too.

A Gift Born from Challenge

I grew up in a household with an explosive mother—someone I love deeply. Understandably, I learned early on how to read the room to keep myself feeling 'safe.' This environment sharpened my intuitive skills, likely more so than if I had grown up in a calm, predictable household.

Over the years, these skills have become one of my greatest assets. They allow me to tune into others deeply, often hearing and sensing what isn't being said. However, in my younger, less experienced years, I would call out these unspoken truths, confronting the dissonance I perceived. Unsurprisingly, not everyone appreciated being challenged in this way, so I adjusted my approach.

What once felt like a curse has transformed into a profound gift. Today, I use this intuition to help others reconnect with their own inner wisdom—the language of their bodies.

Our bodies are constantly communicating through sensations, emotions, and intuition. It's a language that isn't heard but felt. It's not something you need to learn; it's something you already know but may have forgotten.

Below, I share one of many stories where listening to my body's signals quite literally saved my life—and a friend's—during a trip to Costa Rica.

The almost attack

It was around 2005 when my friend and colleague Wendy and I embarked on a trip to Costa Rica.

Late one night, we arrived in Jacó and decided to follow a hotel recommendation we found in the Marco Polo travel guide Wendy had brought along. From the moment we stepped off the bus, something felt off. Groups of men were drinking in the streets, their gazes lingering on us in ways that made my skin crawl.

We stopped at a local night shop that doubled as a bar to ask for directions, then ventured down an unpaved road that quickly turned into a narrow alley. My internal alarm bells were ringing softly at first, but within moments, they were blaring. I glanced at Wendy, who was obliviously engrossed in the travel guide.

Time seemed to warp—simultaneously slowing down and speeding up. My gut screamed that we were in danger.

Three men had followed us and positioned themselves around us in a triangle formation. One stood to our left, another to our right, and a third directly behind us, cutting off our escape. Wendy, still engrossed in her guidebook, hadn't noticed a thing.

Just then, a taxi appeared at the entrance to the alley, its headlights cutting through the darkness. Without hesitation, I yelled, "WENDY, RUN!"

Thankfully, she reacted instantly, and we bolted back toward the night shop. My heart was pounding, but I felt like the luckiest person alive to have trusted my intuition in that moment.

From Insecurity to Inner Strength

Looking at me now, you might not believe it, but I've had my battles with insecurity. The self-doubt I carried for years felt like a heavy weight. And as anyone who has been there knows, no amount of external validation can truly fill that void.

Insecurity isn't about reality; it's about perception. You can be told you're amazing or beautiful a thousand times, but if you don't feel it within, it doesn't stick.

Eventually, I chose to rebuild my sense of self-worth from the inside out. It was—and still is—a journey. But the foundation I've built is solid, and it's what inspires the work I do today.

Why I Created Body Beautiful

Body Beautiful was born from a desire to offer a new perspective on beauty—one that starts from within.

Beauty isn't just about how you look; it's an energy, a feeling. When you feel good on the inside, your outer world naturally aligns with that energy. Yet so much of what we're taught focuses only on appearances—perfecting the exterior while ignoring the inner turmoil.

Imagine a house where the garden is pristine, the fence is painted, and the windows sparkle, but inside, everything is falling apart. That's how many of us approach beauty. It may work for a while, but it's not sustainable.

Body Beautiful is about changing from the inside out. When you reconnect with your body and truly feel good within it, every aspect of your life begins to shift.

Why This Work Matters

When we women, and you men feel good in their bodies, we make different choices—choices that uplift not only our selves but also our loved ones, our communities, and the world at large.

By embracing happiness and well-being, we contribute to a ripple effect of positivity and empowerment. This work is about transforming how women feel about themselves—not just in the present but also honoring the women of the past and inspiring those in the future.

And so it is.

With Love,

Victoria-Monique
